THCA Flower Price Guide: Dollars per Gram by Weight
THCA Flower Price Guide: Dollars per Gram by Weight
Posted on October 18, 2026 by Blazed.deals
Seven live THCA flower listings from one gram to one ounce, priced per gram and per milligram — the weight ladder is flatter than expected.
Flower buyers carry one assumption up the weight ladder: the bigger the jar, the cheaper each gram gets. This guide tested that assumption against seven live THCA flower listings on blazed.deals on October 16, 2026, spanning one-gram pouches to a one-ounce bulk jar, and the result surprised us. The entire ladder — 1 g, 2 g, 3.5 g, 4.2 g, 8 g, and 28.35 g — fits inside a band of about 80 cents per gram, and the best milligrams-per-dollar rate in the set belongs to the biggest jar by only a whisker. The real price gaps on THCA flower are not between weight tiers. They are between label styles, and this guide shows where those gaps live.
Two numbers carry the whole guide
Both come from the listing itself, and both take seconds.
Dollars per gram is price divided by package weight. It answers the question most flower shoppers actually ask: what does this cost per gram of flower?
Milligrams per dollar is the reverse ratio — package milligrams divided by price — and it is the same value rate our previous two price guides used on disposables and gummies. Higher is better. Because it is a ratio, it also ranks listings with different weights and prices on one scale.
One basis note matters more for flower than for any other category. On these listings the milligram figure is the package weight itself: a 3.5 g jar carries 3,500 mg of flower, not 3,500 mg of any single compound. That is why flower rates cluster where they do — at $7 per gram, 1,000 mg divided by $7 lands near 143 mg per dollar, almost exactly where the middle of our table sits. Read flower rates as a package-weight value metric, not a potency metric, and keep it inside the category when comparing.

Seven listings, every one verified live the morning of this pull — pages returning 200 with the price below matching the listing's own structured data. Rows are ranked by value rate, and every row carries both numbers side by side.
| Listing | Weight on the label | Package mg | Price | mg per dollar | Dollars per gram |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Bulk Premium THC-A Flower Malawi Gold 1oz | 1 oz (28.35 g) | 28,350 | $189.99 | 149.2 | $6.70 |
| Hidden Hills Premium Infused THCa Flower 3.5g | 3.5 g | 3,500 | $23.99 | 145.9 | $6.85 |
| Exodus THCa Flower 8 Grams Bag | 8 g | 8,000 | $54.99 | 145.5 | $6.87 |
| Vorpal Cherry Aurora THCa Flower 3.5G | 3.5 g | 3,500 | $24.99 | 140.1 | $7.14 |
| Northern Lights Caps By Good Morels Snowcaps THCA Flower 4.2G | 4.2 g | 4,200 | $29.99 | 140.0 | $7.14 |
| CannaAid THCA Flower 1G Prerolls 2ct | 2 × 1 g prerolls | 2,000 | $14.99 | 133.4 | $7.50 |
| Violet Fog THCA Flower | 1 g | 1,000 | $7.50 | 133.3 | $7.50 |
The spread from best to worst rate in that table is 1.1x — 149.2 against 133.3 mg per dollar. For contrast, the disposable-vape set in our previous guide spanned 6.5x, and the gummy market before that spread 4.5x. THCA flower, category-wide, prices with almost no spread across its weight tiers. No live 2-ounce listing passed verification the morning of this pull, so the ladder tops out at the ounce today.
Reading the ladder: where the bulk discount actually is
Stack the dollar-per-gram column by weight and the ladder looks like this: the 1 g pouch at $7.50, the 2 g preroll twin-pack at $7.50, the 3.5 g jars at $6.85 to $7.14, the 4.2 g snowcaps jar at $7.14, the 8 g bag at $6.87, and the one-ounce jar at $6.70. Going from one gram to a full ounce saves about 11 percent per gram — roughly 80 cents.
Two conclusions fall out of that shape. First, buying up the ladder is a convenience decision more than a savings decision: nothing dramatic happens at any tier. Second, bigger is not automatically cheaper, because the ladder is not perfectly smooth — the 17.5 g sampler pack we checked inline (THCA Flower Samples Pack, $150.00, 116.7 mg per dollar) prices at $8.57 per gram, worse than every jar in the main table, and the 20 g raw cigar format (XXL RAW THC-A Cigar, $159.00, 125.8 mg per dollar) lands at $7.95 per gram. Format and curation can eat the bulk discount entirely; only the straight ounce-to-eight-gram jar line actually descends.
The ounce tier itself is internally consistent: the second bulk jar we checked (THCA - BIG HIGH FLOWER - 1 OUNCE, $199.99, 141.8 mg per dollar) prices at $7.05 per gram, within 35 cents of the Malawi Gold jar despite a $10.00 gap in sticker price. At the top of the ladder, competing bulk offers converge on the same per-gram number from different directions.
The name on the jar: what snowcap-style labels cost
Search demand on this site concentrates heavily on two label words, and both are worth pricing honestly. The first is the snow cap family — listings whose flower carries a visible white coating of concentrated THCA. Four live examples priced the morning of this pull: the Good Morels Northern Lights jar from the main table at $7.14 per gram, then three jars above the ladder — Xhale Frost Bite Snow Cap 3.5g at $36.99 (94.6 mg per dollar, $10.57 per gram), Ice Cream Snow Caps at $40.00 (87.5 mg per dollar, $11.43 per gram), and its Dippin Dots sibling at the same $40.00 price point. The coating adds mass and cost; whether it adds value is the buyer's call, but the arithmetic says these jars run 40 to 60 percent above the plain-flower ladder per gram.
The second label word is "black ice" — a strain name our search data shows real demand for, and one that no live listing carried at pull time. We note the gap rather than inventing a substitute: when a named strain has no live verified listing, the honest move is to price the closest verified equivalent and say so, which is what the snowcap set above is.

Grade words: indoor, exotic, and the price-rate split
The live inventory this pull drew from runs well past a thousand THCA flower listings, and its two most common label words after strain names are "indoor" and "exotic" — about 150 and 100 live listings respectively at pull time. Both words signal cultivation and curation style, and both show up at every point of the price spectrum. Two 3.5 g jars from the pull make the point in one line: Voodoo Labs Exotic Indoor at $24.95 prices at 140.3 mg per dollar, while Dazed Frosted Indoor at $29.99 — five dollars more — prices at 116.7. The grade word did not protect the pricier jar from having the worse rate. Grade vocabulary describes how the flower was grown; only the two ratios say what it costs. A three-point check keeps that straight:
- Find the price-check date. Every rate in this guide was computed the morning of October 16, 2026, against prices matching each listing's own structured data. Stale numbers are the enemy of the whole method.
- Compute both ratios, not one. Dollars per gram for the shelf comparison, milligrams per dollar for the ranking; if a listing makes either hard to compute, that itself is information.
- Keep the ranking inside the category. Flower rates run on package weight; our gummy guide runs on listed cannabinoid milligrams, and the edibles guide built the original method. Even a strong cross-category number like this week's rotation pick (Sour Apple Fresh Frozen Edibles at $2.99 for 334.4 mg per dollar) answers a different question than a flower jar does — it works out to roughly 3.8x the snowcap jars' rate, but on a different milligram basis, so it is orientation, not ranking.
THCA itself deserves one plain-language line here: it is the acidic compound in raw cannabis flower, and it converts into delta-9 THC when heated. Listings regulate and label the delta-9 content; the package-weight math above prices the flower itself as the product, which is exactly how the price tags do.

The short version
- The weight ladder is nearly flat: 1 g to 1 oz spans $7.50 down to $6.70 per gram — about an 11 percent bulk saving, nothing more. - Best verified rate today: the one-ounce Malawi Gold jar at 149.2 mg per dollar ($189.99); the worst main-table rate trails it by just 1.1x. - Snowcap-style jars run 40-60 percent above the plain ladder per gram ($10.57-$11.43 versus $6.70-$7.50); grade words like indoor and exotic appear at every price point and do not guarantee the better rate. - Sampler and cigar formats can cost more per gram than small jars — check the two ratios before assuming bulk wins.
