One common thread that ties local farmers to the community they serve, is Community Supported Agriculture shares. For Golden Gills, a CSA subscription is the best way to support the sustainability of our business. Most CSA's require shares to paid up front. We want to make our mushrooms and local food for that matter, more accessible by offering a weekly subscription model. Our mushrooms are carefully cultivated in small batches and picked fresh for local distribution. We take pride in producing quality gourmet mushrooms using agricultural and forestry byproducts as our primary growing mediums. Our natural methods of production accelerate decomposition, building soil and cycling nutrients – critical processes for healthy ecosystems. We donate our exhausted substrates as soil amendments to local gardens and farms.
