We’ll begin our trip in Johannesburg, the home to former president Nelson Mandela. We’ll explore the town and visit an elephant sanctuary. Our next adventure takes us south to Swaziland, a heart center of our trip for over 20 years! We will spend time in the Hluhluwe area exploring Hluhluwe–Imfolozi Park, the oldest nature reserve in Africa, and participate in rhino conservation efforts. We'll also visit the Drakensberg Mountains in Lesotho, go zip-lining, hike to famous Bushman painting sites, and enjoy breathtaking views. The journey continues with surfing and kayaking in Durban, and various community service projects including supporting a local children’s home, beach clean-up, and other environmental initiatives.
