The Royal Enfield Flying Flea C6 marks the company’s formal entry into the electric mobility segment. Drawing design cues and nomenclature from the original World War II-era Flying Flea, this new model is Royal Enfield’s first electric motorcycle and is positioned as a premium, city-focused commuter. Unveiled in India and debuted globally in Milan, the Flying Flea C6 represents both a technological and historical evolution for the brand. Its development forms part of Royal Enfield’s broader electric vehicle strategy, which includes multiple projects, with the C6 leading the rollout under a new sub-brand bearing the same name. The Flying Flea C6 adopts a retro-roadster design reminiscent of its wartime namesake, blended with contemporary EV styling elements. Key exterior features include a round LED headlamp, handlebar-mounted indicators, round mirrors, and a narrow, sculpted tank that sits above the battery housing. The frame includes a girder-style front fork, alloy wheels, and disc brakes at both ends. Royal Enfield has developed a proprietary Vehicle Control Unit (VCU), which governs all digital and mechanical interfaces. This system aims to optimise throttle response, braking feedback, and regenerative braking functionality. Most controls and performance settings can be accessed through a dedicated mobile application.
