The AWEIS is an advanced electronic ignition system that provides a safe and convenient way to light your gas fire pit. The system is designed to work with both natural gas and propane fuels. AWEIS kits are perfect for tight spaces such as fire bowls. The starting sequence is initiated with a simple button click or switch flick. The hot surface igniter heats up, igniting the pilot flame which is then detected by the thermocouple allowing a signal to be sent opening the main gas valve. Once open, the main burner is lit by the pilot flame. If the main burner flame is extinguished, the pilot flame will relight it. If the pilot flame goes out the unit will commence the relighting sequence. This system provides the highest level of safety for your fire feature. It will automatically make multiple attempts to re-light the flames, however, if the burner fails to re-light, the system automatically closes the internal gas valve as a safety precaution.
