This is Grower’s Choice homemade Runtz hybrid. First, they bred Rainbow Candy by crossing Zkittlez with Dos Si Dos, and then back with Zkittlez. They then crossed Rainbow Candy with Gelato 41, and we got Rainbow Runtz. All of those constituent parts are some very big names, and it will come as no surprise that Rainbow Runtz is a beast of a strain. Take the THC content as proof: 25–30%. Even the hardiest smokers will have to go steady with this one. And with a perfect 50/50 indica/sativa split, expect balanced and expansive highs, progressing from cerebral buzz to physical bliss. Given its genetic lineage, the flavours are going to be impressive… as long as you’ve got a sweet tooth! A vibrant mix of candy, fruit and ice cream makes this at once moreish and almost overpowering. Luckily, it stays just on the right side of too much. Nevertheless, it is undoubtedly a taste sensation and a must-smoke for anybody who loves the myriad flavours that cannabis can exhibit. This variety is not just limited to the flavours, but shows itself in the colourful buds too. Some of these mature nuggets can come out pink and violet, making this plant an absolute pleasure to behold and to smoke. Ranging to somewhere between 80 and 120cm indoors, and getting up to 220cm outdoors, it’s very manageable, but can get pretty big if you let it stretch. The hybridisation makes it able to take hot and cold climates, meaning growers in many different environments can have a go at growing it outdoors. Just be sure that it’s not going to get too cold, as it will take until early October to mature outdoors. Indoors, it should take around 10 weeks to complete the flowering cycle. Once you’ve lovingly harvested all that spectacular, sweet-smelling bud, you’ll be pleased with your growing skills. This plant can yield up to 650g/m² of this spectacular stuff—just magnificent!
