It was aged for 22 months in French oak barrels, offering rich aromas of ripe plum, blackberry compote, toasted vanilla beans, fresh-tilled earth and fine herbs. The intense fruit and herb notes are echoed on the palate, where plush, fine-grained tannins and mouth-filling flavors of dark cherry, cassis and anise build to a long, velvety finish.
