Malawi Burmese is as expected a Sativa dominant cross of the 100% pure Sativa strain Malawi and Kagyu’s Burmese IBL line. Kagyu picked Burmese as his male as he has been an avid fan of the Burmese’s complex, enigmatic terp. When growing, Kagyu recommends monitoring the height during the vegetation period and deciding when to transfer for flowering as it will retain the height. Kagyu prefers outdoor growing of this strain. He has grown to its peak at 10-11 feet in height and 6-8 feet in width. With its Southeast Asian heritage, it takes one of its most popular spice, tamarind’s “sour-sweet” flavor as being akin to lemons, apricots and dates. It is sweet but tart, and sometimes citrusy, yet spicy/musky.
