Description
Clomifen, known by its brand name Clomid, is a selective estrogen receptor modulator (SERM) used primarily in post-cycle therapy (PCT). It helps restore the body's natural hormone production, particularly testosterone, after a cycle of anabolic steroids. Clomifen citrate is the active ingredient, known for its effectiveness in stimulating gonadotropin release while acting as a mild anti-estrogen. It is commonly used by men at doses of 50-100 mg per day and by women at 50 mg per day. Unlike many other compounds, Clomifen does not cause water retention, rarely leads to high blood pressure, and has low liver toxicity. It does not aromatize and is not known to suppress the hypothalamic-pituitary-testes axis (HPTA) function; instead, it aids in its recovery.
