A very unusual and delicate five stone ring set with white sapphires. Claw-set and slightly graduating in size, the sapphires have a combined weight of 0.73 carats. White sapphires are the colourless variety of corundum (sapphire) and were discovered by the ancient Greeks on the island of Naxos. The ring is finished with tapered shoulders and a beautifully hand-carved galley, tested 15ct yellow gold, circa 1905.
