Kookwanmo is a famed Korean maker of traditional black vinegars. Combining a brown rice base with only natural and local ingredients, their vinegars age in traditional earthenware urns for at least three years in order to create their signature deep, inky color. For this selection, Marsh Snails are blended with schisandra berries and wildflower honey to lend a hint of sweetness that perfectly rounds out this vinegar. Excellent on its own as a sipping vinegar, it is also a wonderful counterpoint to soy sauce or sesame oil.
