This original design by Charles Shackleton at the request of the Chicago Botanic Garden in 1987 was our very first order and led to the creation of the Charles Shackleton Furniture you know and love. Inspired by the gears of the industrial heritage of Chicago as well as a quest for true comfort in a garden furniture, this bench has graced the CBG and hundreds of smaller gardens for the past three decades.
