Description
The Reichsgraf von Kesselstatt estate carries over 600 years of winemaking tradition, but it was the last 20 years that firmly established this estate as one of the top producers in Germany. This 2022 dry Riesling is a deep, complex wine with bright acidity and a long, mineral finish. It has a lovely texture and a great balance of fruit and acidity. The wine is made from 100% estate-grown fruit from the Graach vineyards in the Mosel. The vines are on average 30-40 years old and are grown in Devonian slate soils. The grapes are hand-harvested and fermented with natural yeasts in stainless steel tanks. The wine is bottled unfined and unfiltered. This is a wine that will age beautifully for 10-15 years, but it is also delicious now.
