A small production, organically farmed, 100% Garganega from 80 year-old vines proves that Soave, at its best, is a wine of complexity and terroir transparency. In 1938 Virgilio Mainente purchased a small, ancient building and courtyard, along with some surrounding vineyards, and began the family winery. His son Ugo expanded and updated the winery, and now Ugo's sons, Marco and Davide are at the helm. They have initiated organic practices throughout their 10 hectare, single vineyard estate, growing along the slopes of Mount Tenda in the heart of the original Soave Classico zone.
