Livestock Fencing is designed to restrict livestock’s movement on a farm. Choosing the type of fencing depends on the amount of livestock and whether the fencing will be permanent or temporary. There are four main types of fencing, suspension, barbed, smooth and page wire. Suspension or high-tension wiring is designed to move willingly between the posts. When livestock touches or tries to reach through, the wire creates a whipping action, which frightens them and ensures they will not return. It is faster and less expensive to install in comparison to other fencing systems.
