Taking a page right out of Bollinger’s own Special Cuvée Champagne–making script, the Langlois Brut Reserve dazzles with the complexity we’re used to seeing only in Champagne. Made using the time-honored méthode traditionnelle and aged for over 24 months on its lees, it’s complex enough to pour for discerning dinner guests but affordable enough to drink every weeknight. Brilliant, bright, light straw with delicate bubbles streaming. Creamy, with excellent tension and energy throughout. Baked pear, brioche, ginger, and citrus all come together with an excellent mousse and a taut, mineral finish. The finish trails off with flavors of lemon cream, sea salt, and toast.
